Our Manager is Mr Selvarajen Amoorthasamy, who has over 17 years’ experience in caring and our registered provider is Crossways Healthcare Limited.
Our rooms are all individually decorated and residents are encouraged to bring their own personal possessions to create a “home from home” feel.

Is Crossways currently accepting new residents?
Yes, we are welcoming new residents to our care home. Please get in touch to register your interest and we can arrange a tour so you can see the home and meet our friendly staff.
Care I have a tour of the care home?
Absolutely, we would love for you to have a tour of our care home. Having a tour is the best way to get a real feel and understanding of the home and you can meet our friendly carers and management who can answer any questions you might have.
We do still have some restrictions in place for visitors and we require all visitors to have a negative lateral flow test before entering. Please get in touch with us through our contact us page or call us on 01444 416841 so we discuss these with you further and arrange a visit.
Are friends and family able to visit residents?
Yes, we welcome and encourage friends and family to visit their loved ones. We do ask that all visits are pre-booked which enables us to keep the volume of visitors in the home at once to a minimum and we require a negative lateral flow covid test before entering and wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) in line with government and home guidelines.
How many rooms does Crossways have?
We have 19 single and 3 double bedrooms, most with en-suite facilities. TV and telephone points are available in all rooms.
How are residents being mentally and physically stimulated?
In conjunction with our carers and dedicated activities manager, our team put together daily and weekly activities for all residents.
These activities include; Floor basketball, Word games, Movement to Music, Quizzes, Bingo, Colouring & Painting, Balloon play, Story-time / read aloud, Board games, Crossword club, Baking, and Art club, Activities with care staff and Word Games to name a few.
Can residents receive post and gifts?
Yes. We welcome friends and family to continue to send post, donations and gifts to residents in our care homes. Some of our residents have recently celebrated birthdays and have enjoyed receiving gifts in line with the Government guidance. Click here for Government guidance.
Is the food cooked fresh on the premises?
Absolutely. All food is freshly cooked on the premises, and special needs can be catered for by the chef.
Roast dinners are a firm favourite of the residents and vegetarian alternatives are available too.
We ensure that all our residents get a nutritionally balanced diet and so we offer a varied menu throughout the day with many choices.
- Early morning cup of tea 6.45am – 7.00am
- Breakfast 7.30am – 8.15am
- Morning coffee 10.30am – 10.45am
- Lunch 12.30 pm – 1.30pm
- Afternoon tea 3.00pm – 3.15pm
- Supper 5.30pm – 6.30pm
- Evening drink 7.45pm – 8.00pm
Drinks and snacks are available as and when required and on-demand.
Can we still use our GP or do you have a retained GP?
Of course, you can still use the registered GP of your loved one and we have a GP who keep’s in regular contact with our home and visits residents when required.

What other additional medical care do you offer?
We can liaise with and make referrals to specialist services and facilities through the GP. Every 6 weeks a Chiropodist visits all residents and other services can be arranged by appointment.

Do you carry out regular eye tests on all residents?
Yes. Twice per year Visioncall attends to carry out eye tests on all residents. If we feel an additional test is required outside of these twice-yearly bookings we are able to organise accordingly.
Does Crossways arrange for a regular dentist visit?
We don’t have a regular dentist who comes to visit our residents, however, we can organise appointments upon requests from either the resident or friends and family.
Our Care Givers' Team
Our staff receive the very best training to ensure that they become the very best carers and that they always work to national standards. We have a wonderful and experienced team at Crossways Care Home. We offer care on a 24-hour basis and our team of qualified and experienced staff will ensure that all our residents, whether long term or respite, will receive excellent care.
